Empty 1 sachet of water beads (5 grams) into 1 litre of tap water. Leave for 4-5 hours or overnight. Drain off excess water using a strainer. Place into a vase.
If you don't intend to use the beads for plants, add a few drops of eucalyptus oil, lavender oil, or tea tree oil, they are antiseptic and may prevent the beads from becoming slimy or moldy.
